Why I Chose This Project:

I founded Step Green to merge sustainability with social impact. During a visit to a rural area in my state, I witnessed farmers burning crop residue and saw an opportunity to repurpose agricultural waste—especially fodder—into eco-friendly slippers. This initiative addresses environmental concerns while empowering rural artisans with meaningful livelihood opportunities.

Our Mission

  • Transform agricultural waste into sustainable footwear.
  • Empower rural communities through skill-based employment.
  • Reduce environmental pollution caused by crop residue burning.
  • Promote eco-conscious consumerism.
Together, we take a step
toward a greener planet—one
slipper at a time.

Our Product: Eco-Friendly Fodder Slippers

How It’s Made !

Fodder like paddy straw and husk is collected, cleaned, and sun-dried. It’s then treated, compressed into sheets, and shaped into soles. Eco-friendly fabric forms the upper. Artisans hand-assemble each slipper, ensuring quality and comfort. The slippers are then packaged in recycled materials, ready for sustainable steps forward.

Crafted by skilled hands using natural agricultural waste like paddy straw and sugarcane husk, our slippers are biodegradable, durable, and stylish. They represent a fusion of tradition, innovation, and responsibility.
